The schedules of the feeder services and main routes have been designed carefully, based on demand studies, which have demonstrated that on different schedules to the ones established it isn’t viable to offer the service given that the financial equilibrium of the system would be affected.

The TransMilenio System looks to fairly reward all parts and agents that carry out any activity in the common objective of offering the service of massive transport of passengers in the Capital. Remuneration is given to the companies that offer the main route services, to the ones that carry out the recollection system, to the fiduciary that administrates the resources, to the management and planning of TRANSMILENIO S.A., and to the companies that offer the feeder service.

With the objective of complying with the principles of self sustainment and costs of the system, collateral businesses that enable the recollection of additional resources must be established, which with, every day, a better service can be offered to the users. Between these collateral businesses, advertisement is one of them. This business has been properly authorized by TRANSMILENIO S.A. in the buses and stations of the system.

Through advertisement campaigns spread in the media, with the personal of Friends in Transmilenio and with informative brochures, we invite the users to reflect about the use of the blue chairs and in general about the proper use of the system. The Transmilenio system is everyone’s: Users, operating enterprises, recollection businesses, management entities and in general of the people, and we all must participle and promote the proper use of the system.

Given that this is a massive transport system of passengers, the Transmilenio buses have the capacity of transporting 160 people but if this quantity is exceeded, nor the weight or the space will let the entry of more passengers.

The TransMilenio System uses the same mobilization system as other forms of transport, reason why it is exposed to different situations natural to this service. This kind of eventualities in the system cause differences between the programmed frequencies for the pass of the services through the different stations and the real pass frequencies, nevertheless, Transmilenio has a satellite control system that enables the monitoring of the position of each one of the buses and being put against the situations that had been described earlier, Transmilenio can react in such a way that this impact has minimal consequences on the operational level.

The established tariff by the use of the system must comply with the principles of self sustainment and costs of the system.
It is increased by the utilization of a balanced technical tariff that incorporates all the costs of operation of the system and that considers the volume of users of the system. Factors such as: the increase of the price of inputs (gasoline, oils, tires, etc), the rise of collective public transport prices, the index of prices to the consumers (IPC), the index of prices to the producer (IPP), factors of change in the operation, the increase of feeder routes, a rise of the presented demand, between others, force to make adjustments.

Because of the public nature of the entity, TRANSMILENIO S.A. binds personnel through selection processes that are made when the entity requires doing so. These calls are published in the web page www.transmilenio.gov.co and in the information boards of the offices of the company.
For operating positions the interested person must reach to the reception of the offices of TRANSMILENIO S.A. located in the Avenida el Dorado No. 66-63 and ask for a list of the operating companies that work with the system, you can also find this information in the web page.

The recollection system is done by the firm ANGELCOM S.A. private contractor of TRANSMILENIO S.A.
Once the user detects that the card is unloaded o that it reads less tickets than the ones acquired, he must go to the representative of the firm ANGELCOM S.A. located on the access control machines (torniquete), and ask and fill the format designed for this kind of complaints. The same person will indicate the process for recuperation of the tickets that are not read by the system.
Please have in mind the information presented above, information which can also be found in the format of registration of the complaint:
- ANGELCOM must solve your complaint between the next 24 hours to your presentation.
- The answer of your complaint will be available during 12 days in the station in which the complaint was presented.
- No answers to complaints will be given on Fridays.
- The complaint expires in three (3) months.

The massive transport system of passengers Transmilenio has been designed according to the parameters of experience of other countries that have been previously using massive transport systems. One of these characteristics of functionability is that in the payed zones of the system (payed zone is the area inside the system after passing the access control machines (torniquete) the offering of services that can delay, on any free form and efficient mobility, the people to transport, are not allowed. The system is designed with a 95% of the space as a payed zone so that each passenger, after the entry to the station, is boarding the corresponding vehicle in a lapse of approximately three (3) minutes, according to the frequencies of dispatch; to install any kind of service in these zones would be foreseeing in them the stay of people that would obstruct and affect the security and opportunity of the operation.
